Patulin
Patulin is a polyketide mycotoxin, produced by a variety of molds, such as the genus of Aspergillus, Penicillium and Byssochlamys. Most commonly, patulin can be found in rotting apples, in addition, it has been found in some grains, fruits, and vegetables. Therefore, there are strict limits and regulations for patulin in food, feed, and grains all over the world.
